Calling All 6th-8th Grade Students!
Share your ideas and flex your civics knowledge in the
National Civics Bee®
Our Chamber is excited to share this with you and the incredible opportunity it presents for your middle school student to engage in civics, showcase their ideas, and compete for recognition and prizes through the 2026 National Civics Bee, a nationwide, nonpartisan competition organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
Students in grades 6–8 are invited to submit a 4-paragraph essay proposing a solution to improve their communities, and the top scoring essay finalists will be invited to a live quiz competition in their state. The essay finalists will compete in the Augusta County area in April of 2026. Participating students will strengthen their civics, writing, and public speaking skills, and form friendships with other young leaders along the way.
The application portal is open NOW and closes on February 4, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Hawaiian Standard Time
