Mission Statement

The Shenandoah County Chamber Foundation empowers our community through education, leadership, workforce development, and economic opportunity. By investing in people, businesses, and community initiatives, we strengthen Shenandoah County's future and foster a thriving place to live, work, learn, and grow.

Purpose

The Shenandoah County Chamber Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes as defined under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation exists to advance the educational, economic, and community development goals of Shenandoah County by supporting initiatives that improve quality of life and create opportunities for residents, businesses, and future generations.

To fulfill this mission, the Foundation will:

• Support Education and Leadership by providing financial resources for educational programs, scholarships, leadership development, and community initiatives that strengthen Shenandoah County.
• Advance Economic Development through educational programs that encourage entrepreneurship, support small businesses, and promote innovation and sustainable economic growth.
• Strengthen Workforce Development by supporting Career and Technical Education (CTE), career readiness, and workforce training programs that prepare residents for meaningful employment and meet the evolving needs of local employers.
• Enhance Community and Civic Engagement by promoting civic leadership, volunteerism, and educational opportunities that foster engaged, informed, and connected citizens.
• Promote Tourism and Community Development by supporting educational initiatives that celebrate Shenandoah County's history, natural resources, attractions, and hospitality industry.
• Encourage Technology and Innovation by expanding awareness and use of emerging technologies that benefit businesses, educational institutions, nonprofits, and the community.
• Support Arts, Culture, and Heritage through educational and community programs that preserve, promote, and celebrate the rich cultural and artistic traditions of Shenandoah County.
• Provide Charitable Support for programs and projects that improve the economic vitality, educational opportunities, and overall well-being of Shenandoah County.
• Undertake all lawful activities necessary and appropriate to accomplish these charitable and educational purposes consistent with its status as a nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3).
