Business Breakfast Session: Is Your Business About to Become the Next Victim of Fraud?

We’ve all heard the tragic stories of businesses who have faltered, as a result of fraud. From overextended trust in colleagues and business partners, to questionable vendor billing, to employees unknowingly falling for a scam, a lifetime of work can quickly devolve into bankruptcy. Whether from internal misconduct or external schemes, fraud can quietly undermine both a business’ operation and reputation.

This workshop equips business owners, CFOs, and HR Directors with practical strategies to recognize fraud risks, strengthen internal controls, and foster a culture of accountability. While all fraud cannot be eliminated, proactive measures can significantly reduce exposure and are far more cost-effective, than dealing with the extensive consequences of fraud, including:

    ·         Financial loss: direct and indirect (tax impact, auditing, legal fees, etc.)

    ·         Reduced/redirected employee productivity

    ·         Negative publicity/impact to business reputation

    ·         Insurance/bonding ramifications

    ·         Psychological stress to owners/operators

Join us to learn how implementing effective fraud mitigation strategies, can protect your business! As an added bonus, attendees are also eligible for a raffle drawing for a local eatery gift certificate!

    Veterans Banner Program Application

    Let's Celebrate our Woodstock Veterans

The Town of Woodstock’s Veterans Banner Program is administered by AMVETS Post 11.

Completed applications and fees should be submitted to AMVETS and not the Town of Woodstock. Please complete all sections. Incomplete applications may delay review. The banner program operates on a two-year rotation, with banners returned to applicants afterward. The Town of Woodstock will store the banners between display periods, and the Town will also provide the brackets. The program operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to those with a Woodstock connection and without banners in surrounding communities. If we receive too many applications, your application will be saved for the following two-year rotation.
