Aging In Place Council seeks to educate the community about local services supporting vitality and choice in the second half of life and to provide a forum for discussion and collaboration about the issues surrounding aging in place.

Educational Speaker:  Cheryl Reames, Rock Steady Boxing--Fighting Back Against Parkinson's

Cheryl Reames is a retired elementary teacher and reading specialist.  As a Parkinson's spouse, she has coordinated the activities of the Greater Winchester Area Parkinson's support group for five years. Joining Cheryl are Rock Steady Boxers: Linda Beville, Tom Urtz, Ed Collins, and Jim Mundt. Jim began boxing at Rock Steady Boxing in Indianapolis in September, 2011. He moved to Virginia in 2016 and helped bring Rock Steady Boxing to Winchester.
