LFCC is hosting its fifth annual Wits for Wellness 5k at our Middletown Campus on Saturday, April 21. Awards will be presented to the top three males and top three females in each age group, starting at 10 and under through 70 and older.
The entry fee is $25. The annual race always benefits an LFCC Educational Foundation scholarship or fund, and this year all proceeds will go to the Tanya Bock Emergency Fund for Nursing Students.
“The Wits for Wellness 5K is a great way for members of the community – whether they’re LFCC students or faculty, or part of the wider community – to have a good time and improve their health,” says Stacey Ellis, associate professor and program lead of health, physical education and recreation at LFCC. “And, this year, they’ll be improving the health of the region by aiding our nursing students who may be in need of emergency assistance as they continue their journey to becoming registered nurses.”
The race begins at 9 a.m., and race-day registration is 7:15-8:45 a.m. To register online or find out more about the race, visit www.lfcc.edu/5k.
