Description
SVLM has three ministries: A Small Hand is an infant pantry for parents enrolled in the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) government program and provides diapers and wipes on a monthly basis. Other items, such as formula, baby wash, lotion, and other baby essentials, may be provided as available. Luke's Backpack provides food for children who have no or limited access to a food source during school weekends. School personnel identify students, who then receive a bag of food items to help sustain their nutritional needs throughout the weekend. The Good Shepherd partners with the Department of Social Services, Seniors First, nursing homes, home health providers, and parish nurses to provide care packages for seniors. Care packages may include personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and paper towels.
